Praise be to Allah, the lord of the worlds, the sustainer of the heavens and earth, the disposer of the affairs of all creation who honoured man with the best prophet. I praise and thank Him for His grace and honour and beseech Him for more. I testify there is no god but Allah alone, the compassionate, the merciful, the generous, the Perpetual Forgiver. I testify that our leader- Muhammad (pbuh) is his servant and messenger, his beloved and chosen one among his creation, the leader of the children of Adam.  He is the leader of the messengers, the seal of prophets, the mercy offered to the universe, the illuminating lamp. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his household, companions and whoever follows them till the day of recompense.

Having said that,

Dear Muslims, I enjoin you and I to fear Allah in accordance with the verse:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ ( آل عمران : 102 )

O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].” (3: 102) .

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam this is the fifth khutbah in the month of Rabi’ul- Thaani we shall be discussing the continuation of our discourse on Globalization with the topic The peculiarities of Islamic discourse in the era of globalization.

Dear Muslims, if it is concerns the Islamic message, it is necessary to consider the position of the addressee, their time, and condition, and every people is addressed in their language for clarity and striving to make them comprehend, to the extent that conveyance of the message is guaranteed, as was the case of the messengers (AS): (﴿فَهَلْ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ﴾[النّحل :16\35])

Of the important matters is to analyse this message in the era of globalization: the nature of affinity that made the world a global village, where one of the characteristics of this era is the swiftness of a lightning flash. We could be talking in a small country like Qatar and the world would hear and see you as if they sit by you and listening before you. Perhaps in the old times, you could be talking in a central mosque, and many a times some of the congregation may not see you and your voice may not reach them. Thus it imperative for the custodians of the Islamic message or the callers to Islam to properly investigate their message, and not merely ramble, because the entire world is listening, and analyzing his message.

It is imperative that the Islamic contemporary message contains some fundamental peculiarities which could ensure its reaching the people, whereby it grants them the intellectual contentment with proofs, and the minds incline towards the admonition, and will not deviate from wisdom, or the discussion by that which is better. Some of the peculiarities of the message is that:

Dear brothers and sisters, we would take these peculiarities in brief one after the other:

Part of the peculiarities of the islamic message is that it calls to belief in Allah, the Exalted, but it will not be ungrateful or despise humans or forgets the nature of man. It calls to Allah the creator of the universe and existence, that perfected the creation of all creatures, Allah says:

(﴿الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا مَا تَرَى فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَى مِنْ فُطُورٍ﴾ [الملك :67\3]) “[And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?” (67: 3)

(﴿وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ صُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِنَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَفْعَلُونَ﴾ [النّمل :27\88]) “And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do.” (27: 88).

Islam raised man to a high status when it assigned him with vicegerency of Allah on earth, and charge him with the trust given to the heavens, the earth, and mountains to which they declined and feared from it … Man is not an animal, but Allah subjected the animals to him … In the same vein, man is not god, as some western ideologies have deified man, raising him beyond his ability.

A characteristic of the Islamic message in the age of globalization is that believes in the revelation and will not displace the intellect.  He believes in the revelation as the basis of every revealed religion. The teachings of the religion and its provisions are not the making of the Prophet or any prophet, or that revelation is of his idea, rather Allah revealed to him by way of revelation, like inspiration, and truthful visions, and the descent of angel with the words of Allah, and as direct words of Allah as He spoke to Musa (AS).  The prophets are the ambassadors of Allah sent to His servants, sent as givers of glad tidings and warners. Muhammad being the seal of all prophets, Allah revealed the Qur’an unto him through Jubreel (AS) (﴿نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ (193) عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ (194) بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ﴾ [الشّعراء : 26\193-195]) “The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down ( 194 )   Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] – that you may be of the warners – ( 195 )   In a clear Arabic language.” (27: 193- 195)

(﴿وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى (1) مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى (2) وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى (3) إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى (4) عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَى (5) ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَى﴾ [النّجم :53\1-6])

By the star when it descends, ( 2 )   Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,

( 3 )   Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. ( 4 )   It is not but a revelation revealed, ( 5 ) Taught to him by one intense in strength – ( 6 )   One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form (53: 1-6)




All praises are due to Allah. We praise and thank Him, believe and depend on Him. I testify there is no god but Allah alone and I testify that our leader- Muhammad (pbuh) is his servant and messenger.  May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his household, companions and whoever follows them till the day of recompense.

Dear servants of Allah, during the occasion of presidential inauguration of Donald Trump in America, an Imam was appointed to make the adhan but he instead gave a recitation of the following two verses from the Qur’an:

﴿يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ﴾ [الحجرات :49\13] , والقائل : ﴿وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ﴾ [الرّوم :30\22]
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” (49: 13)

“And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.” (30: 22)

Of the message of Donald Trump on that day was that he is an enemy to Islam and Muslims. … He said: “The time to work has come, and we shall fight Islamic Terrorism”

Why did he tagged it Islamic terrorism? …


Oh Allah descend peace; flowing with continuous tranquility and security upon Nigeria and all other Muslim nations. O Allah accept the worship of the pilgrims of hajj and Umrah, and grant us all Your pleasure, And the last of our call will be, “Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!”
