THE JOURNEY TO GREATER FRONTIERS
Being The First Official Address of The 4th Amir of The Muslim Congress, Alhaji AbdulWaasi’ Taiwo Bangbala.
‘Audhu billahi minash-shaytanir Rajeem, BismiLlahir Rahmanir Raheem.
I thank Allah most profoundly, Who, out of His infinite Wisdom, appoints whomever He wishes. I beseech Him to shower His bounties on the noble soul of our Master, Teacher and Mentor, Muhammad Ibn Abdullah (SAW). May the peace and blessings of Allah be showered on his noble household, dutiful companions and those who follow the guidance brought by him, until the Day of Reckoning. (Ameen).
I also want to thank the immediate past Amir in person of Dr. Luqman AbdurRaheem for his meritorious service to Islam through our Organization, TMC. May Allah be with him in his present and future endeavours. Ameen.
Dear respected members from all parts of Nigeria and all over the world, this is the beginning of another journey in our history as an Organization; and I call on each and every one of you to join hands with me to take TMC to enviable heights.
Without doubt, the task ahead is huge even though achievable; therefore each and every one of us must play his part in order for us to arrive at our collective destination as an Organisation. I urge you all to come together and work for our common goals, as doing this will make us arrive at our destination faster and smoother than imagined.
I also want to say that our Goal is our focus; let us persistently and passionately keep our eyes on our focus – the Aims and Objectives envisaged by our founding fathers. This will not only inspire us on this journey but also fortify our determination and strengthen our psychological stability.
To begin with, we shall focus on Value Proposition and Capacity Building for members, embark on Project Developments, and take Social Engagement to the next level. On this, I call for the support of our Esteemed Members at Home and in The Diaspora. If we play our parts well, we will all be fulfilled, satisfied and have peace of mind as individuals and collectively.
I am ready and willing to be a Servant-leader that will cooperate with all members of the National Executive by welcoming new ideas; I will not be distracted from our organisation’s Vision – “To be the foremost organization Guiding, Influencing and Setting Agenda for Societal Reformation in line with Qur’an and Sunnah.”
This speech will not be complete if I fail to recognize the unquantifiable supports of our stakeholders and well-wishers for almost three decades. We say JazakumuLlahu Khayran as we look forward to your continued support.
Presently, the world is battling the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic. This is unprecedented and it is impacting negatively on our lives. We pray to Allah to put an end to this pandemic and return normalcy to the entire world. Ameen.
I enjoin our teeming members to join hands with Government at all levels as we urge them to deliver on their electoral promises.
Let me say it loud and clear that TMC is committed to peaceful co-existence and harmonious living and we shall jealously continue to guard this policy.
I therefore urge all our members to sustain the tradition of love radiating within our communities; let us continue to contribute to social development as enshrined in our religion and demonstrated by our Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the rightly-guided Caliphs. This is what the early Muslims were known for.
In conclusion, may Allah accept all our strivings on His path as acts of worship. Ameen.
“IntansuruLlah yansurkum…..” (Q.47 vs. 7).
