HIGH HOPES AS WAALI TMC LAGOS INAUGURATES TCP EXCOS, RAMADAN COMMITTEE

There was high hope as Mallam Tajudeen Yuusuf Olusesi, Waali (Head) of The Muslim Congress Lagos State inaugurates new members of executive of The Congress Professionals, Lagos State chapter. The inauguration was held on Sunday, 3rd December, 2023 at Dawah Centre, Ijesha, during adhkaar (prayer) of The Muslim Congress in Lagos State.

Inaugurating Shanu led TCP excos, Mallam Tajudeen noted that, The Congress Professionals was birthed out of concern for a proactive role for professionals among Muslims, in order to elevate the status of the Nigerian Muslim Community by harnessing the vast experience, competence and exposure with which Allah has endowed believing professionals. He further stated that, all fields of endeavour have something unique to put on the table for the benefit of humanity and mentoring young Muslim professionals, who will not also be sound in their chosen careers but also astute in God fearing should be a cardinal goals to be pursued by the TCP.

Speaking on the sideline of the inauguration, Mr. Shanu Kauzar Kayode, who was inaugurated as the Director of The Congress Professionals, Lagos State noted that, the mandate given him and his team is clear and believers should expect programmes that will make Muslim Professionals thrive spiritually and economically with focus on capacity building, networking, employment opportunities and business promotion, mentoring, research, innovation and projects. He solicited for the support of Muslims and pray Allah grants him and his team success.

Mr. Shanu, holds a Master of Business Administration and he works as a Supply Chain Lead in a multinational company. He is a certified supply chain professional and he is a member of several professional bodies including
Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management Nigeria – CIPSMN and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – CILT UK.

Also inaugurated by Mallam Tajudeen was 2025 Ramadan Committee for Lagos TMC. In his remarks during the inauguration, Waali observed that, the month of Ramadan is too important a month for Muslims not to properly prepare. He further noted that, the bountiful rewards inherent in the holy month require deliberate and concerted efforts so that, Muslims can maximize the benefits of the month.

Speaking after the inauguration, Ustadh AbdulWaheed Adebambo, a human resource management expert who was inaugurated as Chairman of the Committee asserts that, he will hit the ground running with his team with a view to bringing about historic achievements through all round programme for the blessed month. He called on all Muslims to prepare for the holy month as if it is the last experience on earth. Mr. Adebambo added that, this will make believers to make the benefits of the holy month. Other members of the committee as inaugurated are Ustadh Tajudeen Muhammad ul Awwal (Vice Chairman), Ustadh Sulaymon Alaka (Secretary), Imam Roji Salman, Mr. AbdulHafeez Olaiya, Mr. AbdulHadi Durodola, Mr. Musa Oduola, Mr. Bashir Fashina and Ustadh Sulaimon Adewunmi.
