TMC CONDOLES WITH THE SULTAN OF SOKOTO AND THE GOOD PEOPLE OF SOKOTO STATE

‘Inna lillahi wainna ilayhi roji’un.’ (‘Verily, we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return.’) With utmost resignation to the will of Allah, we condole with the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and the good people of Sokoto State on the death of the Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba.  Until his death, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba was the head of the kingmakers in Sokoto. He was also the grandson of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello.  Alhaji Hassan Danbaba was a successful businessman who died in his early 50s. He was instrumental to the President’s launching of the Rice Pyramid in Abuja by the Rice Farmers’ Association of Nigeria (RIFAN). The late Alhaji Hassan Danbaba was a well-known philanthropist who used his wealth to support many Islamic organisations. He was as well a patron of the Abuja Chapter of The Muslim Congress (TMC). This is indeed a big loss for us as an organization and certainly a monumental loss to the entire Muslim Ummah and the good people of Nigeria.  We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his sins and admit him into Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also pray that Allah gives his wife and children, relatives and friends, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We also commiserate with the entire Muslim Ummah on the death of the amiable head of the Sokoto kingmakers. Signed. Alhaji AbdulWasiu Taiwo Bangbala Amir, TMC
